Self-absorbed folk with a callous nature do not treasure the feelings or needs of others. Their focus lies on their own desires over all else, displaying a total lack of empathy. These individuals do not understand the importance of altruism and unselfish acts towards their fellow beings. The sole focus remains on fulfilling their own desires, mistakenly realizing the pain they inflict to others. In essence, such individuals perpetuate a society lacking sympathy as well as compassion.
