Cancerbero is a mythical beast in Greek mythology. Its portrayal often shows it as a multi-headed dog guarding the gates of Hades. According to some legends, Cancerbero owns three heads, while in others it can have as many as nine heads. The term "cancerbero" is additionally used to refer to a ferocious and unrelenting protector.
